-
The user experience of IDEMIA’s developer portal had neglected to keep pace with the expansion of the company’s solutions making it difficult to use and challenging to comprehend how the different solutions could be customized, work together, or be implemented at different levels of effort.
Additionally, it lacked a relatable explanation of its solutions for key audiences who were often not developers, but critical decision-makers in the consideration of whether to license the solutions.
Finally, the experience lacked a unified presentation and consistency due to multiple owners and timeframes in which content had been created.
-
Our team worked quickly within a two-phase scope of work to deliver a responsive web experience with a scalable architecture, and reusable templates to account for additional future solution offerings.
In the first phase we worked to redefine the information architecture, content strategy, and navigational structure, establish the user experience and creative direction, create more engaging and informative infographics, and detailed yet easy to consume content for the various identity verification solutions.
In the second phase, we worked to reimagine the authenticated experience. In addition to the same work streams above, this phase included optimizing unique demo flows for the identification verification solutions, the solution licensing and team management dashboard, documentation design, and data visualization.
The result was an award-winning unified user experience that streamlined workflows for developers and made complex solutions easily understood for key decision-makers.

Diving into Details
We created comprehensive design documentation to support a successful development of the design vision for the IDEMIA Experience Portal. Everything from layout buttons to breakpoints, web accessible color combinations to typographic hierarchies, and baseline grids to form specifications were included in the digital style guide.
Rework Erased
Throughout the project we worked closely with the client using rough sketches to quickly iterate through visual concepts and refinements before creating final illustrations, saving hours of potential rework.
Bespoke Icons
Over 50 custom icons make up a fun visual language that cover a wide range of topics and add context to complex concepts to make them more easily understood.
The icons range from literal to abstract, simple to complex, playful to descriptive and are designed to be fun and informative.
